Hi and welcome! My name is Katy Waldeck, I’m 28 years old, and here’s a brief run down of my life!
I had the privilege of marrying a real cutie pie on June 6, 2010 at the Port Huron, MI Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. His name is Noah Waldeck, and through the years, he’s turned out to be the most supportive husband and wonderful father! This blog would NOT be possible without him!
On March 12, 2012 I gave birth to our little Logan boy. However, it was a very rough time for us. When I was 28 weeks pregnant with my son, we discovered there was a reversed end-diastolic flow of the umbilical cord. The next week, I had a cesarean section to deliver all 1 pound, 8 ounces of our sweet Logan. Logan lived in the NICU for almost 6 months before he was able to go home. Since then, he’s had 7 surgeries and numerous health struggles (including liver cancer), but this is our normal and we’re all better people because of it! He is such a sweet hearted boy and the joy of our life.
We purchased our first home, a foreclosed fixer upper, in 2013 and have been spending the last several years improving it. There is always something else that needs work!
In 2014, I had two surgeries to remove my thyroid after discovering it was cancerous. I began iodine radiation therapy and thankfully made a full recovery.
Last but not least, this blog will feature fashion, family, our home designs, and really anything I feel like blogging about! Ha! So I hope you enjoy following me along on all our adventures! Thanks for reading!
