10 Beauty Products You Need to Try for Spring

Can you believe it’s March 1st?! In about 20 days it’s officially Spring, and even though it may be a bit early, I’m ALL about a good Spring cleaning. Ladies, this post I’ll be talking about cleaning out your old beauty products and making way for some new ones!

I’ve partnered with Meijer to try out some of their fresh new products, and let you guys know what I think! This ended up being harder then I had expected, as I actually ended up liking quite a bit of what they sent me. However, I’m only going to post things that I LOVED, things that I would recommend to my friends and family, and most importantly, things I would buy again.

So without further ado, let’s get the reviews rolling!

Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips

Like everyone on the planet, I get gross buildup in my pores, especially around my nose. I was pleasantly surprised at how open and clear the pores on my nose felt after I removed the strips!

I was so worried peeling the strip off would be painful, but it wasn’t.

Dove Shower Foam

This may sound very silly, but I found the foaming feature extremely satisfying and cleansing. It was way foamier (in my opinion) than a loofa is capable of getting. I felt so clean! And it was very moisturizing!

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Clear Spray Sunscreen

I loved this. Living on a lake and being outside all Summer, I’m always buying and testing different sunscreens. We go through So. Much. Sunscreen. This wasn’t heavy at all, plus it had a very pleasant smell!

L’Oréal Extraordinary Clay Dry Shampoo + L’Oréal INFALLIBLE PAINTS

This dry shampoo worked wonderfully and didn’t leave any residue. Any dark brunettes know that dry shampoo can sometimes leave an ashy color on your hair if not worked through properly. NO RESIDUE AT ALL. Not to mention, it smelled real nice!

I love lipsticks, especially if I don’t have much makeup on. This had a huge punch of color but was very moisturizing, like a lipgloss. Ultimate win-win!

After spraying evenly, I worked the dry shampoo through with my hands. It worked quite well!

Ta-da!

Covergirl SO LASHY! blast PRO + L’Oréal TRUE MATCH LUMI Cushion Foundation + L’Oréal INFALLIBLE PAINTS + L’Oréal INFALLIBLE Mechanical Eyeliner

I loved the way this look came together! Just so you gals know, Meijer was kind enough to send me many make up samples, but these were my four favorites. I especially loved the Covergirl SO LASHY! blast PRO, and L’Oréal INFALLIBLE PAINTS. As you can tell from the last picture and these ones, I swooned over L’Oréal INFALLIBLE PAINTS. Meijer sent me three shades, and I ended up loving all three. I’ll definitely be buying more colors!

The products used…

My hideous before picture, without a stitch of makeup on.   *yuck*

I felt so glamourous with these four products on!

Yes to Cucumbers hypoallergenic FACIAL WIPES

I’m rating this my number one favorite. I was TERRIFIED to try this product. I have super sensitive skin that breaks out at the slightest irritation or even a small change of routine. I’m a die hard Burt’s Bees Sensitive Skin Facial Wipes user, but I bit the bullet and gave these a try. Guess what?! No breakouts! My skin felt so calm and moisturized, and it smelled AMAZING! I’m really not sure which facial wipe I’m going to be using daily, but in order for me to question a faithful product I use every single day, you know it’s pretty darn good.

Face full of makeup (including mascara) ready to come off!

Look at all the gunk it took off my face! Thumbs up!

Honorable Mention goes to: Crest Whitestrips

You may notice that this package is unopened, which is for a reason. My front right tooth was severely chipped awhile back and is partially false. In order to keep it matching my other teeth as best as possible, I can’t whiten my teeth anymore. However, I have used this product numerous times in the past. I have many fond memories of spending my hard earned money (oh, those impoverished teenage years) on this “confidence in a box”. Even though I personally can’t use them any longer, I felt they deserved at least a mention, as I’ve used them many times in the past and would recommend them to anyone.

If you’re like me, you probably go through your drawers and cabinets finding *very* old beauty products and think, “For crying out loud, I still own this?!” Those old products don’t work well when they go way past their expiration date, and could potentially be hazardous depending on what it is. Thank you, Meijer, for giving me the push I needed to get rid of all my old leaky bottles and overflowing bins of junk. I hope these reviews have inspired all you dolls out there to revamp your beauty routine with some fresh new products this year!

Thank you Meijer for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
