So, I wasn’t 100% thrilled with how this outfit turned out. It was an EXTREMELY windy and cold day here in Detroit. I couldn’t keep my eyes open because the wind kept thrashing me in the face, I had tears running down my face, and the whole shoot just kinda went up in flames. So excuse my bag-lady appearance!
Also, in an effort to be completely honest with you guys about what I wear in actual day-to-day life: this red and pink was a bit over the top, even for me. And I LOVE to mix colors. It was way to cold to be without a coat, so I threw on the one that I thought went best. However, I’ll probably not wear this outfit on a regular basis, as it came out a bit too costume-ish (I know, not a word) for me.
What I will tell you, though, is that I love this hat and scarf from J.Crew Factory! I found them in store on an amazing sale and couldn’t pass them up! They are so cozy, soft, and actually extremely well made. The tassels are such a nice touch on the scarf. One word of caution to glasses wearers though: this hat is designed to be very snug and will be difficult to wear any style of glasses with. Other than that, it’s just peachy! Both pieces are very reasonably priced, and come in multiple colors too, I’m just partial to light pink.
